FLED 023 - Parenting Education/Parents and Three Year Olds



Maximum of 3.0 possible Credits
Parents attend the laboratory class one day a week with their child and evening parent meetings. Class includes parent discussion, observation, and activities with the children. Discussion topics will be chosen in the areas of child development and family life. Registration permitted first seven weeks as space is available. Prerequisite

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe positive rapport modeled with three- to four-year-old children in a lab setting.
  2. Supervise three- to four-year-old children.
  3. Discuss developmentally appropriate behaviors for three- to four-year-old children.
  4. Examine different parenting styles.
  5. Recognize individual differences of children and families.
