FLED 030 - Parenting Education/Parent-Infant Program



Maximum of 2.0 possible Credits
Parents and babies attend class together once a week. Class includes parent discussion, observation, and activities with the babies. Topics will be chosen in the areas of child development and family life. Registration permitted first seven weeks as space is available. Prerequisite

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Examine reliable parenting information sources.
  2. Supervise infants in a lab setting.
  3. Identify developmentally appropriate behaviors for infants.
  4. Identify appropriate expectations for infants.
  5. Describe characteristics of secure attachment.
  6. Recognize individual differences of children and families.
