FLED 041 - Parenting Education/Parents and Toddlers

Parents and toddlers attend class together once a week. Class includes parent discussion, observation, and activities with the toddlers. Topics will be chosen in the areas of child development and family life. Prerequisite

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe reliable parenting information sources.
- Supervise toddlers in a lab setting.
- Continue to identify developmentally appropriate behaviors for toddlers 12 to 36 months.
- Adjust personal expectations for toddlers 12 to 36 months.
- Describe the connection between play and learning.
- Recognize individual differences of children and families.
