Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Discuss the role and importance of statistics in clinical trials.
- Describe the statistical principles used in the design of clinical trials.
- Compare and contrast statistical models used in research designs.
- Define Bayesian statistics and explain why/when they are used in medical device clinical trials.
- List different elements involved in sample size calculations, significance testing and interpretation of the results of statistical analyses.
