WDT 4.0 - Continuing Education : SUMMARY/SCOPE Edmonds College offers credit and non-credit continuing education courses for personal enrichment, lifelong education, and professional development in accordance with RCW 28B.50.020.
DESCRIPTION Continuing Education (CE) courses are designed to either meet community needs and interests or are designed to meet industry-specific standards. Any credit bearing courses offered in Continuing Education will be reviewed through the same approval and review process as other college-level course offerings, through the Curriculum Committee and office of the Executive Vice President for Instruction. Faculty for credit-bearing courses are vetted within the department where the class resides. Pay is according to the Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Non-credit Course Proposals are reviewed by the CE Program Coordinator and/or Industry Experts to ensure course objectives meet the needs of the community and/or industry standards. Courses are reviewed by Curriculum Committee on a yearly basis.
