Inclusive Excellence

Definition
An institutional commitment to create an environment in which excellence is more expansive for students, faculty, staff, and the community. For the institution to be excellent, practitioners must focus on embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into practices, procedures, and culture in support services, curricula, and classrooms. Efforts go beyond diversity in recruiting, admissions, and hiring but are embedded throughout the organization.
