ETEC 189 - Fiber Reinforced Composites: Repair
1.5 Credits Students will gain an understanding of inspection, documentation and composite repair. The techniques covered will include surface, potted, taper sanded, and bolted methods. Prerequisite ETEC 169. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Perform quality inspection.
- Document the part condition before repair.
- Identify sources of composite damage.
- Describe different repair techniques for different sorts of composite damage.
- Define foreign object damage (FOD) and identify sources of FOD.
- Conduct basic repairs.
