ETEC 210 - Electronics for STEM
5.0 Credits Intensive survey of electronics for students in computer or industrial technologies. Covers electrical concepts, electronic components, schematics and test equipment. Extensive hands on training. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical quantities.
- Operate basic electronic test equipment.
- Use engineering notation and metric notation in calculations and descriptions of electrical and computer quantities.
- Identify most components on a circuit board.
- Research a component, concept, or problem on the Internet.
- Troubleshoot an open in a simple circuit or device.
- Build a circuit from a schematic diagram.
- Analyze and test a circuit for proper operation.
