HORT 207 - Native Plants in the Landscape
2.0 Credits
Identify principal native plant communities, and their indicator species, of Washington state through class work and field trips. Examine cultural requirements and garden attributes. Be prepared to arrive and depart from field trip sites on your own. S/U grade option.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- List the principal floristic zones of Washington state.
- Identify key floristic indicator trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants as well as restorative and garden worthy representatives.
- Research and analyze the cultural requirements of various native plants.
