ETEC 120 - Introduction to Metrology
5.0 Credits Introduction to basic measurement techniques used in manufacturing and QA environments and the equipment used to perform measurements. Prerequisite EAP 100 or BRDGE 093 and placement into MATH 077. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:- Describe, select, and use a variety of measurement tools, such as calipers and microscopes.
- Establish calibration intervals using usage history and gage studies.
- Explain various inspection and testing concepts and processes, including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
- Explain and apply sampling systems.
