MST 189 - Fiber Reinforced Composites: Repair
1.5 Credits
Students will gain an understanding of inspection, documentation and composite repair. The Techniques covered will include surface, potted, taper sanded, and bolted methods. Prerequisite: MST 169 .
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Perform quality inspection. [REASON]
- Document the part condition before repair. [COMMUNICATE]
- Identify sources of composite damage. [REASON]
- Describe different repair techniques for different sorts of composite damage. [COMMUNICATE]
- Define foreign object damage (FOD) and identify sources of FOD. [COMMUNICATE]
- Conduct basic repairs. [ACT]
