MGMT 260 - Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
5.0 Credits This course is designed to give students who are interested in entrepreneurship the exposure to a wide range of subjects essential to the formation, operation, and success of a small business. Business planning is an integral part of the class. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify and describe meaningful goals and objectives for a small business.
- Explain the advantages and disadvantages of the various forms of business ownership and of purchasing an existing business.
- Describe issues related to marketing small businesses.
- Create an introductory business plan, including a marketing plan and financial plan.
- Explain issues related to business ethics, legal requirements, social responsibilities, and government regulations.
