CTAP 150 - CTAP - 150 - Construction Trades Industry Awareness
2.0 Credits This course provides exposure to a variety of different trades virtually and via guest speakers. Included in the class are guest speakers from different trades who will inform students of what it takes to be successful in their respective trade. Students provided with physical requirements needed, application requirements, wages, benefits, job opportunities, and anything else that is pertinent in that trade. Prerequisite GED, high school diploma, or above. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:- Explain a variety of apprenticeship programs available in Washington state.
- Develop the physical requirements needed to enter construction industry and/or apprenticeship.
- Describe application requirements, wages, benefits, and job opportunities available in a variety of trade unions.
- Comprehend appropriate worksite behaviors and expectations.
